Setting Up Email Forwarders and Autoresponders in cPanel

WHISCLOUD clients can use email forwarders and autoresponders to streamline email management and improve communication. This guide outlines how to set up both features in cPanel, enabling you to automatically redirect emails or send instant replies.

1. Setting Up Email Forwarders:

Email forwarders automatically redirect emails from one address to another. Here’s how to set them up:

- Log in to your WHISCLOUD cPanel account and navigate to the Email section.
- Click on Forwarders.
- Select Add Forwarder to begin.
- Enter the email address you wish to forward and specify the destination email address where emails will be redirected.
- Click Add Forwarder to save.

You can also set a domain-wide forwarder, which forwards all emails sent to a domain to a designated address, by selecting Add Domain Forwarder.

2. Setting Up Autoresponders:

Autoresponders send automatic replies to incoming emails, which can be helpful for out-of-office messages or confirmation emails.

- In cPanel, go to the Autoresponders section under Email.
- Click Add Autoresponder .
- Set the Interval (in hours) to determine how frequently the autoresponder sends replies to the same email address.
- Fill in From, Subject, and the Body of the message, ensuring it’s clear and professional.
- Optionally, specify a start and stop time for the autoresponder if it’s for a limited period, such as vacation dates.
- Click Create to activate the autoresponder.

3. Managing and Editing Forwarders and Autoresponders:

To modify or delete forwarders or autoresponders, return to the respective section in cPanel. Select the desired entry and choose the appropriate action.
