Creating and Managing Email Accounts in cPanel

Overview:
This guide walks you through the process of creating and managing email accounts in cPanel for WHISCLOUD clients. It covers steps to set up new email accounts, manage storage, and optimize account settings to ensure smooth email functionality.

1. Accessing cPanel Email Section:
To begin, log in to your WHISCLOUD cPanel account. Once in the dashboard, locate the "Email" section and click on Email Accounts to manage or create email addresses.

2. Creating an Email Account:
- Click Create to add a new email account.
- Choose the domain for the email address (if you have multiple).
- Enter the desired username (e.g., info, support).
- Set a secure password or use the "Generate" feature for added security.
- Configure the allocated storage space for this account, or select “Unlimited” if available and appropriate.
- Click Create to finalize the setup. The email account is now active and can be used immediately.

3. Managing Email Storage and Quotas:
To avoid reaching storage limits:
- Review individual email storage by going to **Email Accounts > Manage**.
- Adjust storage quotas or delete unnecessary emails from the webmail interface.
- Use WHISCLOUD's backup options or local storage for old emails to free up space.

4. Accessing Webmail and Email Settings:
- Access Webmail through cPanel by clicking Check Email next to the account.
- Alternatively, configure your account in a third-party email client (like Outlook or Thunderbird) using the IMAP/POP and SMTP settings provided in cPanel.

5. Additional Management Options:
From the Manage menu, you can change passwords, set automatic responses, or enable forwarding to route emails to another address if needed.

Conclusion:
Following these steps will enable you to set up and maintain a professional email presence through WHISCLOUD’s cPanel interface, ensuring effective communication with clients and teams.
